First contact

We landed where
the ocean sings.

At first, we thought the sound came from the wind. Then the tide turned, and a thousand hollow stone towers began to hum. The shore was playing a note we had never heard.

This is our journal of Heritige: its impossible geography, its quiet inhabitants, and the questions we brought with us.

The Singing Coast

A shoreline of hollow basalt spires. Each incoming tide pushes air through the stone, turning the entire coast into a vast, slow instrument. No two tides sound alike.

Dispatches / Volume one

Notes from the surface.

001 / Geography

The tide has a voice.

On our third morning, the sea changed its song. Someone on the team started answering.

002 / Life

A forest that waits for dark.

The trees keep their light beneath their bark. At dusk, it moves from branch to branch.

003 / Observation

Footsteps beneath the glass.

There was nothing moving on the plain. The reflections, however, were walking.
